He is the playwright-in-residence at the Furious Theatre Company.
Hisproduced plays include AN IMPENDING RUPTURE OF THE BELLY,
COCKROACH NATION,TERMINUS AMERICANA, FREAK STORM, HONKIES WITH
ATTITUDE, MONKEY, GORE HOUNDS and many others. Hiswork has been
produced in Chicago , Los Angeles , NewYork , and around the
country. Mr. Pelfrey isthe winner of the National 10-Minute Play
Competition and his play, DRIVEANGRY, was subsequently produced at
the prestigious Humana Festival of NewAmerican Plays. He has been
nominated for an American Critics New Play Award,a PEN CenterWest
Literary Award, and Ovation Award, and most recently in 2008 just
won TheBack Stage West Garland Award for Playwriting.
He is a published author with Samuel French, Smith & Krause,
